I'm feeling really under the weather with a cold and a lot of sneezing. I've heard about this med called Montek LC. Do you think its okay for me to take it, or is there something else youd recommend?

Given the sudden appearance of the red spot and your history of tobacco chewing, it's essential to take precautions. Here's what you can do:
Immediate Action
- Stop tobacco chewing immediately: This will help prevent further irritation and potential harm.
- Monitor the spot closely: Keep an eye on the spot's size, color, and texture. If it changes or persists, consult your doctor.
Oral Care
- Maintain good oral hygiene: Brush and floss regularly to keep your mouth clean.
- Use a topical antioxidant gel or mouthwash: This can help soothe the area and promote healing.
Medical Consultation
- Schedule a dental check-up: Visit your dentist for a thorough examination, even if it's earlier than your scheduled appointment.
- Consult your doctor: If the spot persists or changes, consult your doctor to rule out any underlying conditions.
Potential Causes
The red spot could be a minor issue, such as:
- Trauma or irritation from tobacco chewing
- Mouth ulcers or canker sores
- Oral thrush or fungal infections
However, it's crucial to monitor the spot and consult your doctor to rule out more serious conditions, such as:
- Oral cancer (although rare, it's essential to investigate)
- Precancerous lesions
Stay vigilant, and don't hesitate to seek medical attention if you notice any changes or concerns.

View allI'm really worried about my brother. He got diagnosed with Typhoid because his fever just wouldn't go down, and it turns out his Typhoid level is pretty high at 162. He's been on medication since Thursday, and today is Monday, but the fever hasn't completely disappeared yet. During the day, the temperature seems normal, but in the evening or afternoon, it shoots up to 99. I'm trying to figure out how many more days it's going to take for this fever to totally go away. Is this normal? I read somewhere that Typhoid fever can take about 15 days to subside entirely is that true? Today marks the 5th day he's on the medication for Typhoid. He's taking Enteromycetin 250 capsules three times a day and omnacortil 5, also three times daily. Does this medication sound right, or could it be that it's not strong enough, and that's why it's taking longer? Could you please help out and let me know what you think?
