I'm feeling really under the weather with a cold and a lot of sneezing. I've heard about this med called Montek LC. Do you think its okay for me to take it, or is there something else youd recommend?

Given the sudden appearance of the red spot and your history of tobacco chewing, it's essential to take precautions. Here's what you can do:

Immediate Action

  1. Stop tobacco chewing immediately: This will help prevent further irritation and potential harm.
  2. Monitor the spot closely: Keep an eye on the spot's size, color, and texture. If it changes or persists, consult your doctor.

Oral Care

  1. Maintain good oral hygiene: Brush and floss regularly to keep your mouth clean.
  2. Use a topical antioxidant gel or mouthwash: This can help soothe the area and promote healing.

Medical Consultation

  1. Schedule a dental check-up: Visit your dentist for a thorough examination, even if it's earlier than your scheduled appointment.
  2. Consult your doctor: If the spot persists or changes, consult your doctor to rule out any underlying conditions.

Potential Causes

The red spot could be a minor issue, such as:

  • Trauma or irritation from tobacco chewing
  • Mouth ulcers or canker sores
  • Oral thrush or fungal infections

However, it's crucial to monitor the spot and consult your doctor to rule out more serious conditions, such as:

  • Oral cancer (although rare, it's essential to investigate)
  • Precancerous lesions

Stay vigilant, and don't hesitate to seek medical attention if you notice any changes or concerns.

So my 22-year-old brother has had a cold and fever since yesterday, and we just found out he's positive for coronavirus. His pulse is over 100 even when he's relaxed, and his oxygen saturation is around 93-94. He's dizzy and his nose is completely blocked, plus his fever's hovering around 99. The online doctor suggested waiting it out with nasal spray and flu meds. Should I be thinking about taking him to the hospital, or is it okay to give it a few more hours to see if the meds help?

I'm a 30-year-old guy and I've been dealing with this weird recurring fever thing for the past couple of years. Basically, every month or two I start feeling feverishsometimes there's a bit of a cold and a headache along with it. The fever isn't super high but it goes away with anti-pyretics after 4 to 6 days. At first, I thought it might be allergies but that doesnt seem to be the case. I've been to quite a few doctors and done tons of tests, but they just treat the fever and tell me there's nothing wrong. I'm kinda stuck and don't know what to do next. Could it be something thats just not showing up in the usual tests?
