I'm going to have a pleural tapping procedure soon and I heard about Tt injections related to it. Should I get a tetanus shot before the procedure? Are there any specific precautions I should be aware of before going through with pleural effusion? I'm feeling a bit anxious and want to make sure I'm fully prepared.

I've been dealing with a cough for about a week now, and it's starting to make it hard for me to breathe. Do you have any advice on what I should do?
It sounds like you may be experiencing a respiratory infection. I recommend taking Robitussin or Mucinex to help relieve your cough and improve your breathing. These medications can help loosen mucus and make coughing more productive. Additionally, you may consider using a humidifier at home to help ease your symptoms. If your symptoms persist or worsen, you will need a strong course of antibiotics, for which your need to go to the hospital.

I'm really worried about my sister. She's been dealing with sleep apnea for like 10 years now, and it causes her to wake up suddenly while sleeping, though it only happens once every month or every couple of months. What kind of treatments are available for this, and how can we help her manage or sort this out?
