I'm going to have a pleural tapping procedure soon and I heard about Tt injections related to it. Should I get a tetanus shot before the procedure? Are there any specific precautions I should be aware of before going through with pleural effusion? I'm feeling a bit anxious and want to make sure I'm fully prepared.

View allWhat can you make of my mom's recent X-ray? She's 60, and after testing positive for COVID antibodies 18 days after her first symptoms, the new X-ray shows some prominent bronchovascular markings with a patchy non-homogeneous opacity in the left lower zone. It also mentions something about a bulky right hilum with calcified lymph nodes. Should I be worried about these findings?

I've been feeling really worried about some symptoms I've been having and I need some advice. I saw a news report from a doctor saying that taking excessive steam can lead to pneumonia. I've been taking really hot steam three times a day with the gas on for about 45 days straight, starting since August. Since then, I've been experiencing a really itchy throat, pain in my nose, upper chest, upper back, neck, and shortness of breath. During winter, I get these severe chills. Ive done so many tests like cbp, crp, serum creatinine, serum uric acid, thyroid, vitamin b12, vitamin d3, nt pro bnp, calcium, eeg, but everything comes back normal. I've used medicines like azee, doxcyp, bilagra, salt gargle, betadine, Medrol, pregabalin, and mk flutron, but nothing is helping. If I'm lying down in bed, there's no pain, but as soon as I get up, there's severe upper back pain and I'm unable to sit or do any work. I also feel too much shortness of breath, throat itching, and nose pain. It's not COVID because I had an hrct chest to rule it out which showed corads 2 infective etiology and bilateral minimal pleural effusions. I've visited many doctors but still don't feel any better. Can you help me understand what's going on and what I can do next?
Yes,continue same treatment.Ecg and x-ray chest pa view is advised to the patient.

I'm a bit worried about my lung health and I'm wondering if there's a way to check if my lungs are healthy at home without using any machines or equipment. Also, is it normal or safe for someone to hold their breath for a minute?
