I'm having a lot of pain when I press on my tragus, antitragus, or anywhere in between, and it's been going on since Wednesday. It even wakes me up when I'm sleeping, because it just suddenly starts hurting at random times during the day too. I'm really worried about it. What could be causing this?

View allCan you help me figure out how effective adenoid surgery is for kids, both in the short term and long term? And is it true that once the adenoids are removed, they won't grow back? I'm really curious about this.
Adenoid surgery can provide both short-term and long-term benefits for children, especially in terms of relieving chronic nasal and ear problems. It's very unlikely that the adenoids will grow back to the same size after surgery. Most children experience significant and sustained improvements, but if any symptoms return, it would likely be due to other underlying issues, not the regrowth of the adenoids.

I've been dealing with a cold and cough for a few days now, and today it's gotten worse with a sore throat. It's actually making it hard to swallow my own saliva, but weirdly, I don't have the same problem when I'm eating food. I'm really curious why this is happening and what I can do to make it better.
