I'm having some discomfort on my left side, and I've already done an ECG and ECHO 2D, both of which came back normal. My SPO2 level is also above 95. Can anyone help me figure out what might be going on?

It's good that your ECG and ECHO-2D reports are normal and your SPO2 level is above 95. The discomfort on your left side could be due to musculoskeletal issues or gastrointestinal problems. You can try taking a pain reliever like acetaminophen (Tylenol) for the discomfort. If it's related to gas or indigestion, you can take an antacid like ranitidine (Zantac) before meals. Make sure to follow the recommended dosage for these medications. If the discomfort persists or worsens, it's best to follow up with your healthcare provider for further evaluation.

I'm taking Betacap TR 40 in the morning, but my BP is still high and can't be controlled. I've been feeling dizzy for a few days, and yesterday I had a root canal done. Today, my blood pressure is 150110, and I'm not sure what's going on. Can you help me figure out what to do next?

I can't know the exact reason for your high blood pressure without a proper examination, but considering your symptoms and recent dental procedure, it is possible that the pain and stress from the root canal treatment may have contributed to the elevated blood pressure. I would recommend you to continue taking Betacap TR 40 as prescribed, and also consider adding an additional medication like Telma 40 (Telmisartan) once daily to help control your blood pressure. Additionally, try to manage your stress levels, get an adequate amount of rest, and follow a healthy diet low in salt and saturated fats. It is important to monitor your blood pressure regularly and follow up with your healthcare provider for further evaluation and management.

My mom had an angioplasty about a month and a half ago and shes got a stent now. Just wondering, she started having this itchiness and rash on her calves last week which is a bit better now. Could this be some sort of reaction to the stent or maybe the meds? And if it is, is there anything we can do to help ease it?

I'm really concerned about my dad. He's 55 and dealing with diabetes and high blood pressure, and he was told he needs to decide about a second open-heart surgery. The first one he had was an off-pump coronary artery bypass using a vein from his leg. He's supposed to have this new surgery by the end of the year. Can you help me understand what kind of risks he might be facing with this surgery?

Infection, bleeding ,allergic reactions and headache are some of the complications of the surgery.
