I'm having some major issues with my left ear that are really affecting my sleep. I found out I have a middle ear infection and after going through a bunch of tests like X-rays, blood work, an echocardiogram, ECG, and a CT scan of the mastoid, my doctor is suggesting a major surgery. Can you tell me what this surgery is called? I'm also really worried about any health risks that might come with it.

View allI've been feeling like there's an air bubble stuck in my throat for the last couple of weeks, and it's not going away. There's also a lump on one of my tonsils and it seems bigger than usual. What could be going on, and should I be concerned?
The persistent air bubble sensation in your throat and the enlarged tonsil lump warrant medical attention; consider consulting an ear, nose, and throat (ENT) specialist
