I'm noticing some pigmentation around my lips, and it's really bothering me because my skin is otherwise pretty fair. This darkness seems to change my appearance quite a bit. I'm a bit worried and was wondering if you could help me understand what's causing it and what I might be able to do about it.

View allI've been dealing with this pitryasis rosea thing since last week. The doctor said it might take a few months to clear up and gave me some mild soap and lotion. But now the first rashes are turning brown and feel bumpy and scaly. It's like I can feel them raised on my skin. They look really bad, and it doesn't seem like they're going away anytime soon. Is this normal? What should I expect, and is there anything else I can do?
It is normal for the rash in pityriasis rosea to evolve over time, with the initial rash often becoming darker in color and developing a scaly texture. To help alleviate the symptoms and promote healing, you can consider using a mild corticosteroid cream like Hydrocortisone 1% twice a day on the affected areas. Additionally, taking an antihistamine like Cetirizine 10mg once daily can help with any itching. Make sure to continue using the prescribed mild soap and lotion as well. If the symptoms persist or worsen, consult your doctor for further evaluation and management.

I'm trying to decide between the regular Depiwhite cream and the Depiwhite Advanced depigmenting cream. Are they the same, or is the Advanced version better? What would be best for me to use?
