I'm really concerned about my 9-month-old baby. They're having a bowel movement after every single feeding, like 6 times or even more in a day. It's usually within an hour after they eat. We did a stool test, and everything came back normal, but my baby just isn't gaining weight. What could be happening, and how can we help them?

Hi there, I understand your concern. Frequent stools after each feed can sometimes be a sign of digestive sensitivity or a mild intolerance, but since the stool test is normal, it's good to rule out infections. I recommend closely monitoring the baby's feeding patterns and discussing with your pediatrician about possible adjustments to the feeding routine or exploring other underlying causes for the weight concerns.

My 2-year-old daughter has a fever of 103, and we've tried giving her continuous sponge baths, but it's not coming down. We also gave her 4 ml of Meftal P suspension, but then she vomited an hour later. Should I give her another dose, and when is it safe to give her paracetamol P250 again?

Since fever has just started and she has vomited just once it is best to wait and watch. You can give crocin at 6 hour interval if temperature is above 100F. Also give plenty of fluids such as ORS to avoid dehydration. If however such high fever recurs or vomiting continues or there are any other symptoms you must consult a doctor for physical examination to exclude dehydration or serious causes of fever.

my son had TB and just had intestine surgery should I get the whole family checked for TB too

Yes, it's highly recommended to get the whole family tested for TB. Since your son had intestinal TB, which is usually not contagious, it's still a good idea to get the family checked, especially if your son had active TB in the lungs or throat. People with active TB are most likely to spread it to close contacts, including family members. If your son had pulmonary or laryngeal TB, there's a higher risk of transmission to household members. If your son had abdominal TB, which is less likely to spread, testing family members is still a good precaution
