I'm really concerned about my lung health because I've been a smoker for several years. I'm wondering what kind of tests I should get to make sure everything is okay. Could you give me some advice on this?

Is it dangerous if my dad's oxygen saturation is swinging between 81 and 93? He's suspected to be COVID positive, but he doesn't have any breathing problem. He's normal otherwise while we're waiting for his PCR test results. Should he be on certain medication or something?

Low oxygen saturation between 81-93% can be concerning, even if he's not feeling breathless. It's important to monitor him closely while awaiting the PCR results. If his oxygen levels continue to stay low or worsen, he may need supplemental oxygen or further medical care, so it's best to consult with his doctor for advice.

I'm a bit confused and worried after my recent tests. I had pleura fluid removed and the ADA test showed a result of 55, leading the doctors to say it's Tuberculosis. I'm trying to figure out if this means I have pulmonary tuberculosis or pleura tuberculosis since it's involving the pleura fluid. Also, my Gene Xpert test came back with "mycobacterium not detected." Can you help me understand what type of TB this might be and whether it means I have drug-sensitive or drug-resistant tuberculosis? I'd really appreciate some clarity on this.

Physician opinion is advised to the patient.
