I'm really concerned about my mom. She's been feeling this odd sensation and burning in her left leg, specifically between the knee and thigh. I was doing some reading online and it seems really similar to something called Meralgia Paraesthetica. This all started after she had laparoscopic surgery for gallbladder stones back in October 2016. It's not always there, but when it does show up, it seems to be happening more often now. I'm really hoping for some advice on how we could help her feel better. Should we be seeing a certain type of doctor for this?

The symptoms your mother describes could indeed align with Meralgia Paresthetica, which occurs due to compression of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve. I recommend consulting a neurologist for a detailed evaluation. In the meantime, measures like avoiding tight clothing, maintaining a healthy weight, and physical therapy may help alleviate symptoms.

I'm really concerned because I recently found out I have an 8mm calcified focus on the left side of my brain. Can you explain what this might mean? Should I be worried about it? What could have caused this, and what are the potential effects or treatments? I just need some clarity on what I should expect or do next.

my left leg pain is really bad from a disc bulge pressing on a nerve is there any way to fix this without surgery
Yes, disc bulges causing nerve pain in the left leg can often be managed without surgery through a variety of non-surgical treatments, including physical therapy, medication, and injections. Most cases resolve on their own with these methods, but it's essential to consult a healthcare professional for diagnosis and personalized treatment
