I'm really concerned about my pulse rate, as it's been hovering between 95 and 105 for the past four years. I'm feeling a mild discomfort in my heart again, similar to what I experienced last year. When I visited Ibrahim Cardiac in Bangladesh, everything seemed normalno blockages or anything serious. After some rest and medication, I felt a bit better, but my pulse didn't change. Now that I'm in Oman, I can't easily consult the same doctor. I'm 33 years old, not overweight at 74 kg, and 5.5 in height. Do you think I should be worried about this pulse rate or the mild heart pain coming back? What should I do next?

It would be advisable to consult with a healthcare professional for a thorough evaluation. In the meantime, you can consider taking a low dose of Metoprolol (brand name: Lopressor) 25mg twice daily to help manage your heart rate and alleviate any discomfort. However, it is crucial to seek medical advice for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.

View allI'm really worried about my mom. Her heartbeat's been acting up and she's feeling a heavy sensation around her chest. About a month ago, her hemoglobin was really low at 6, and the doctor suggested 7 cycles of iron injections. She's already done five of those. The last four times, it took about 2 to 2.5 hours to finish each cycle, but the nurse did the fifth round in just an hour. Also, they usually fixed the cannula on the back of her hand, but during this last session, they put it on her wrist and told her to hold it. Do you think these changes could be why she's feeling chest heaviness and her heartbeat's speeding up? Can the quick iron injection cause these symptoms?

I'm feeling really confused right now. My ECG showed something called inferolateral ischemia, but then both my TMT and 2D echo tests came back normal. I'm not sure what's going on, and it's making me anxious. On top of that, my cholesterol and triglycerides levels are over 240. What could be causing these mixed test results, and what should I consider as the next step for treatment?

I've been feeling this odd sensation in my chest for the past 23 days, almost like there's a light weight sitting there. When I stand up after sitting for a bit, it gets worse, and I feel a bit breathless with fear running through my mind. What could be causing this, and who should I see about it? It's pretty scary for me, especially since I just had tests like an ECG done last year for insurance. What do you think?
I understand that this feeling can be quite distressing. It could be related to anxiety, acid reflux, or even a cardiac issue, though your previous tests were normal. I recommend consulting a cardiologist for a thorough check-up and possibly an updated ECG, as well as discussing any anxiety or stress you might be experiencing. Take care!
