I'm really concerned because I've been dealing with chronic constipation and gastritis for the last 25 years. It's been such a long time, and I'm not sure what to do about it. I've noticed that my weight is 52 kgs, and I'm around 5 feet 6 inches tall. Is there something I might be missing or should be asking about? What steps can I take to improve my condition?

For chronic constipation, you can try taking Metamucil (psyllium) 1 tablespoon mixed with water once or twice daily can help regulate bowel movements. For gastritis, you can take Prilosec (omeprazole) 20mg once daily before breakfast for 4-8 weeks to reduce stomach acid production and alleviate symptoms. It is also important to avoid spicy, acidic, and fatty foods that can trigger gastritis flare-ups.

I'm having a tough time with this. I saw a general physician who prescribed me flatuna tablets and a gasinoxuni enzyme, but there's been no improvement. Every time I eat, even just a little, I get really breathless for a while afterward. Do you have any other suggestions or medications that might help?

It sounds like you may need further evaluation to rule out other underlying causes of breathlessness, such as digestive issues or respiratory conditions. If the current medication hasn't worked, I suggest revisiting your doctor for a more comprehensive examination or testing. They may consider other treatments, including antacids, proton pump inhibitors, or even a respiratory check.

I'm experiencing this strange heaviness on the right side of my stomach, especially when I'm walking or running. It's there even when I'm sitting, but not as intense. I know I have a gastric issue with GERD, could it be related to that? I don't drink or smoke, and there's no pain, just this heavy feeling. Strangely, I have no issues on the left side. All my tests, like blood tests and the stomach ultrasound, are normal, they only found GERD with the endoscopy. I'm really stressed out thinking about what this could be. Is it a big deal? Would love some insight.

Symptoms you are experiencing are due to acid reflux from GERD. To help alleviate your symptoms, you can try taking a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) such as Omeprazole 20mg once daily before breakfast. Additionally, you can take an antacid like Tums as needed for immediate relief. It is also important to avoid trigger foods that worsen your symptoms, such as spicy or acidic foods, and to practice stress-reducing activities like deep breathing exercises or yoga. If your symptoms persist or worsen, it is advisable to follow up with your gastroenterologist for further evaluation and management.
