I'm really starting to worry about this sharp pain in my lower left abdomen that spreads towards my groin. The ultrasound showed a 5.9 mm stone in my left mid ureter, around the L5S1 level, and there's some mild hydronephrosis in my left kidney with the upper ureter being dilated. A urologist suggested urgent ureteroscopy, but I decided to try some home remedies instead. After about ten days, I had another ultrasound and it seems like the stone is now in the lower ureter just below where the iliac vessels cross, but there's still mild hydronephrosis and this proximal hydroureter situation going on. I'm really hoping to avoid surgery if possible and would prefer to try medication. Is that a viable option, or should I prepare for the ureteroscopy?

Severe mouth ulcers can be painful and frustrating. Given your current treatment, here are some additional suggestions:
Additional Remedies
- Topical anesthetics: Apply a topical anesthetic like Orajel or Lidocaine to numb the area and reduce pain.
- Antimicrobial mouthwash: Use a mouthwash containing chlorhexidine to reduce bacterial growth and promote healing.
- Aloe vera gel: Apply aloe vera gel to the affected area to reduce inflammation and promote healing.
- Vitamin C supplements: Take vitamin C supplements to boost your immune system and promote collagen synthesis.
Dietary Changes
- Soft food diet: Stick to a soft food diet to minimize irritation and discomfort.
- Avoid spicy and acidic foods: Avoid consuming spicy, acidic, or sharp foods that can irritate the ulcer.
- Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water to keep your mouth moist and promote healing.
Medical Consultation
If your mouth ulcer doesn't show signs of improvement within the next 2-3 days, consult your doctor or a dentist for further evaluation and treatment. They may prescribe additional medications or treatments to promote healing.

View allI'm wondering if having a habit of daily masturbation is good or bad for me. How do I control or stop it if it's not a healthy practice? Are there any harms associated with it?
Daily masturbation can be a normal and healthy part of human sexuality, but excessive or compulsive masturbation can lead to negative effects such as fatigue, decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, guilt, shame, and neglect of responsibilities; to control or stop, try setting boundaries, practicing self-control, engaging in alternative activities, and seeking professional help if needed.

I've noticed a red thin worm, kind of like a thread, when I pee at night. It's freaking me out a bit, and I'm itching with pretty frequent discharges. Plus, I have diabetes, so I'm worried if it's related. What should I do?
The presence of a thin, red, thread-like worm in your urine, accompanied by itching and frequent discharges, may indicate a urinary tract infection (UTI) or a parasitic infection like filariasis or schistosomiasis; as a diabetic, you're more prone to UTIs, so consult your healthcare provider or a urologist promptly for a thorough evaluation, including urine tests and possibly imaging studies, to determine the cause and guide appropriate treatment, which may include antibiotics or antiparasitic medications.

I'm really concerned because about an hour ago, I masturbated in the washroom and afterwards noticed the head of my penis turned a yellowish color. I'm worried about what this color change could mean. Is this something serious? What steps should I take to address this? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
A temporary yellowish discoloration of the penis head after masturbation is likely due to irritation, friction, or minor trauma, and may be accompanied by swelling or redness; apply a cold compress, maintain good hygiene, and avoid further irritation; if the discoloration persists, is severe, or accompanied by discharge, pain, or difficulty urinating, consult a urologist
