I'm really struggling with this skin disease I've had for years. I've attached a photo so you can see what's going on. Could you help me figure out a solution?

I see that you are suffering from a skin disease. Based on the photograph you have attached, it appears to be psoriasis. I recommend using topical corticosteroids such as Clobetasol propionate cream twice daily on the affected areas. In addition, you can also use coal tar preparations like Tegrin cream or ointment. For severe cases, you may need oral medications like Methotrexate or Acitretin. However, these should be taken under the guidance of a dermatologist. Please consult a dermatologist for a proper evaluation and treatment plan.

I've been dealing with lichen planus pigmentosus and it's left some noticeable acne on my face. I'm really into makeup and I've been wondering if it's okay to use it to cover up these spots. I just want to make sure I'm not going to make things worse or do something that could harm my skin. Could using makeup cause any issues with acne from lichen planus pigmentosus? What should I consider before applying anything?

It is generally safe to apply makeup to hide acne caused by lichen planus pigmentosus. However, it is important to choose non-comedogenic and hypoallergenic makeup products to avoid exacerbating the acne. You can use a gentle cleanser, apply a non-comedogenic moisturizer, and then use a concealer or foundation to cover the acne. Additionally, you can consider using topical treatments prescribed by your dermatologist to treat the underlying lichen planus pigmentosus.
