I'm really worried about the multiple calculi in my gallbladder lumen and the largest one is 13mm. The c.b.d is 3.2mm and it's visualized up to its retro pancreatic portion. There's no obvious intraductal calculus seen. What does all this mean? Should I be concerned about the size of the calculi or its location? What are the chances these will cause complications, and what steps should I take next?

The presence of multiple gallstones is identified, but there is no blockage of the bile ducts. If you're not experiencing symptoms, your doctor might suggest a wait-and-see approach, but if you do have symptoms or complications, surgery to remove the gallbladder may be necessary.

View allI've been dealing with idiopathic slow transit constipation and IBS with constipation for over 10 years and I'm not sure if they're the same thing or different. My symptoms are constant bloating, indigestion, abdominal pain, and daily constipation. I've tried soaked raisins, drinking lots of water, eating fruits and vegetables, and even a low FODMAP diet, but nothing helps. I'm only able to pass stool with digital evacuation and it's affecting my work and stress levels. Is surgery an option for me at this point?
A detailed evaluation will help decide the best course of action.

My mom's been diagnosed with grade 1 fatty liver, and I'm really worried. Is this something serious we should be concerned about? What kind of treatment options should we be looking into? Would really appreciate some guidance.
Fatty liver grade 1 is the least severe form of fatty liver disease. It is important to make lifestyle changes to manage and potentially reverse the condition. Treatment usually involves: 1. Weight loss: Encourage your mom to lose weight through a healthy diet and regular exercise. 2. Medications: Doctors may prescribe medications like Ursodeoxycholic acid to improve liver function. 3. Avoid alcohol: It is important to avoid alcohol consumption to prevent further damage to the liver. 4. Control diabetes and cholesterol levels: Keeping diabetes and cholesterol levels under control can help improve fatty liver. 5. Vitamin E supplements: Some studies suggest that Vitamin E supplements may be beneficial for fatty liver disease. Please consult a doctor for proper evaluation and personalized treatment plan.

I've got some test results that I'm a bit worried about. My SGPT levels are sitting at 106, and my SGOT is 38. The direct bilirubin came back at 0.34. I'm wondering if these numbers mean I should get tested for jaundice or something else. Also, are there any ways I can bring these elevated levels down?
Altered Liver function , typically the liver enzymes dearrangement is seen in many conditions. This mostly happen if there is any other infective pathology already present in the body. SGPT SGOT also raised in Alcoholic non Alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD). A through evaluation needed which includes a Ultrasound of abdomen, Hepatic viral profile ( Hepatitis B and C typically). Get evaluated and this is reversible.
