The pediatrician gave us Clavam Bid drops, and we're giving him 2.5 ml three times a day for a week. But now, on the second day of taking it, he's experiencing loose motions after drinking breast milk, and we're not feeding him any solids. What should we do?

The doctor says it might go away on its own within a year or else he'll need surgery. I'm really worried do these issues usually resolve by themselves?

A 2 cm umbilical hernia in a newborn usually resolves by itself within the first year, but if it doesn‚Äôt, surgery may be required. The testicular swelling should be monitored, but often resolves without intervention.
