I'm really worried about my dad. I've attached his recent chest CT scan, and I'm hoping you can help explain what's going on. He was diagnosed with COPD last year, and I'm not sure how this scan relates to that. What should I be looking out for?

I've quit smoking recently and I've noticed something a bit concerning. My mucus has these black strings and some faded red color in it. I'm just wondering, is this normal after stopping smoking? Should I be worried?
