I'm really worried about my wife. She's been dealing with a tasteless tongue and can't smell anything, and this has been going on for about three months now. She's 35 and of medium build. What's going on? Could it be something serious? What should we do next?

It's been ongoing for about 8 months now and I've even been to the ER twice. I've tried everything from antibiotics to all the natural remedies I could think of like humidifiers, ice, heat packs, vaseline, coconut oil, saline spray, pain medications, and even steam, but nothing seems to work.
