I'm really worried about this pleural empyema situation. If there's a 100ml buildup, do antibiotics alone help clear it up, or would it definitely need to be drained? I've heard different things and I'm not sure what to expect.

My oxygen saturation is between 97 and 98, but I don't feel it when I'm walking quickly and I sleep just fine. I had mild COVID symptoms back in October 2020, and the shortness of breath was there until December, but everything's been alright for the past 3.5 months. I even got a CT scan through my pulmonologist, and everything seemed okay. But what's weird is if my mind is busy, I don't notice it, and if I try to take a deep breath on purpose, I just can't. What might be going on?

Luckily, it's only happened once a year in the winters, and I found out its because of cold air or dust. I've been doing okay for about 2 years now without any problems. Do you think I should be worried about this happening again in the future? Should I still keep any medications handy just in case?
carry medication and take when symptoms exacerbated
