I'm really worried about typhoid and how it's passed between people. Can it be spread through kissing or other close contact? How likely is it to be transmitted from one person to another this way?

Typhoid fever is not considered a sexually transmitted disease. It is typically transmitted through the ingestion of food or water contaminated with the bacterium Salmonella typhi. However, close contact with an infected person can increase the risk of transmission. It is important to practice good hygiene, such as washing hands regularly and avoiding sharing utensils, to help prevent the spread of typhoid fever. If you suspect you have been exposed to typhoid fever, antibiotics such as Ciprofloxacin or Azithromycin can be prescribed for treatment.

View allI'm looking at my Widal test report and I'm really unsure about what it means. It mentions things like Salmonella typhi O and H, and also Salmonella paratyphi AH and Bh, each with 120 dilutions. Can you help me figure out what these results indicate? I'm a bit anxious to understand if I need to be worried or if there's anything specific I should be doing.
yes

I recently did a Dengue test, and my Dengue IGM came back positive, but the Ns1 Antigen and IgG were negative. What does this mean for my health, and what should be my next steps? Should I be concerned?
Since your Dengue IgM test is positive, it indicates a recent infection with the Dengue virus. It is important to stay hydrated and get plenty of rest. You can take Paracetamol 500mg every 6 hours as needed for fever and body aches. Additionally, you should monitor your platelet count regularly and seek medical attention if you experience any warning signs such as persistent vomiting, severe abdominal pain, or bleeding.
