I'm really worried because after getting a steroid injection in my shoulder for nerve damage, I've been having severe stomach pain. Is this normal? What should I do about it?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
Steroid injections can sometimes lead to stomach pain due to irritation of the stomach lining or acid reflux. While mild discomfort may resolve with over-the-counter remedies, severe stomach pain should not be ignored. You should reach out to your doctor to evaluate the cause of the pain and ensure proper treatment.

View allI'm a bit concerned about my recent liver test results. It says my liver is slightly enlarged at 14.8 cm, and there's a grade 3 diffuse fatty change. It mentions mild hepatomegaly with fatty liver, but the tests for Hepatitis A and C came back negative. My liver enzyme levels are SGOT 46.5, SGPT 91.5, and Gamma GT 97.1. I'm not a drinker, so that's not a factor. Could you help me understand what all this means for my health and what steps I should take next?

My dad, who is 58, had a fever about 9 days ago but got better after we took him to the doctor. But heres the thinghes had these really persistent hiccups for the last 7 days. At first, they just wouldn't stop. Weve been giving him coconut water and cold water which seems to help calm them down a bit, but they keep coming back. He's also on a light diet. We're worried about what this could mean. Is this something serious? Can you suggest any remedies or next steps?

So I just got my full body check-up done at the health camp at work, and I'm 39, by the way. All my tests were pretty standard - blood tests and ECG and all that. The results seemed okay, but I noticed my alkaline phosphatase levels are high. The thing is, I feel fine and don't have any issues that I'm aware of. Could you tell me what symptoms might show up with high alkaline phosphatase?
A high alk phos level occurs when there is a blockage of flow in the biliary tract or a buildup of pressure in the liver--often caused by a gallstone or scarring in the bile ducts.
