I'm struggling with my eyesight since my eye number is minus 5 and 5.5, and everything's blurry without my glasses. I'm really considering surgery because I don't want to wear specs anymore. Can you let me know how much the total fees are for such an eye operation?

LASIK (Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis)*: A popular surgical procedure that reshapes the cornea to improve vision. 2. PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy): A type of laser surgery that reshapes the cornea. 3. Implantable Lenses (IOLs): Artificial lenses implanted inside the eye to correct vision.
Estimated Costs
The costs of eye surgery vary depending on the location, surgeon's fees, and technology used. Here are estimated costs for the procedures mentioned above:
- LASIK: 50,000 to 1,50,000 (approximately $670-$2,000 USD) per eye.
- PRK: 30,000 to 70,000 (approximately $400-$950 USD) per eye.
- IOLs: 60,000 to 1,20,000 (approximately $800-$1,600 USD) per eye.
Next Steps
- Consult an eye surgeon: Schedule an appointment with an experienced eye surgeon to discuss your options and determine the best course of treatment.
- Comprehensive eye examination: Undergo a thorough eye examination to assess your eye health and suitability for surgery.
- Discuss costs and financing options: Clarify the costs and financing options available for your chosen procedure.

View allI'm really worried about my dad's eye condition. He went to the hospital by himself, and he's saying he needs to use atropine in the morning and at night, one drop each time, and moxifloxacin every hour. That sounds right according to the doctor's instructions, but I'm confused because as per the prescription, he's also supposed to use itraconazole and natamycin every hour. My dad is telling me the doctor advised him to start those only after finishing atropine and moxifloxacin. I'm 600 km away and it's stressing me out not being there to help. Can you help me make sense of what should be done first?

I've got an issue with my right eye, but I'm wondering if I need to apply the Moxivali antibiotic eyedrops to both eyes. Is that something you recommend when only one eye is having problems?

I'm really worried because my eyes have been red for the past couple of days. I've tried putting coconut oil around them and washing them with cold water. It helped a bit, but the redness still isn't gone. I'm thinking about using Refresh Tears eye drops. Do you think that's a good idea, and if so, how many drops should I use and for how long?
Yes you can use them like 2 drops in each eye for 4 times in a day, if it's becoming worse visit Ophthalmologist for evaluation and appropriate management
