I'm taking Metolar XR 25 and have been on it for about 10 or 11 years now. My blood pressure is staying pretty stable, but I've been dealing with some uncomfortable GI issues. I'm having lots of gas, stomach rumbling, loss of appetite, and a burning sensation in my stomach. Plus, constipation is a problem. Do you think it's time to switch medications?

View allI've been diagnosed with a hiatal hernia in my upper stomach and the pain is constant it's making it hard to eat properly. Is this something that can be treated with medication or will I need surgery? Also, could you recommend a good doctor for this? I'm really concerned about my condition.
They may recommend medicines called antacids or alginates, which can help ease your symptoms. It's best to take these with food or soon after eating, as this is when you're most likely to get symptoms. They may also work for longer if taken with food.

I have mild deep probe tenderness in the RIF and a few tiny mesenteric lymph nodes found on my scan. Since I've been on antibiotics, the pain has gone away do I still need surgery for this? Also, is it okay to eat mildly spicy foods now, and what kind of diet should I follow to avoid making things worse? I really don't want to deal with appendix issues again how can I prevent this without surgery?
