I'm thinking about trying to quit smoking, and I've heard about nicotine gums like Nicotex, Nicorette, and kwikNic that are supposed to help with this. I'm a bit worried, though. Are these gums actually safe, and do they have any proven side effects or risk of addiction? I just want to make sure before I decide to use them.

Nicotine gums like Nicotex, Nicorette, and KwikNic can be effective in helping people quit smoking by reducing cravings, but they should be used as part of a comprehensive cessation plan. While generally safe when used as directed, they can cause side effects such as mouth irritation, nausea, or headaches, and there is a risk of dependency if overused.

I'm really worried because my mom and I both have COVID, and we're using the same nasal spray from Cipla. I accidentally used her nasal spray after she'd already used it. Could this cause any problems, and can she keep using it?
no problem you can continue to use the new one

I'm trying to figure out what's going on with me. I've had a bad cough for the past three days - it's been paired with a cold and sneezing. My temperature seems normal though. The thing is, I'm about to travel and I need some kind of remedy that can help in the next 12 hours or so. I plan to see a physician after that, but I really need some relief until then. Any advice you could give would be great.
It sounds like youre dealing with a common cold or viral infection. For the next 12 hours, try staying hydrated, taking a pain reliever like paracetamol if needed, and using a saline nasal spray for relief from congestion. If the symptoms persist, definitely consult a physician once you're able. Safe travels!
