I'm on Travatan drops because of being a glaucoma suspect and have been using them for about 50 days now. Lately, I've been getting headaches and pain around my eyes, so they suggested I see a neurologist. Now, they think it's cluster headache and want me to start on prednisolone. Could you tell me if there are any side effects from using travoprost and prednisolone together?

Both Travoprost (a glaucoma drop) and Prednisolone (a steroid) can be used together, but it's important to monitor for potential side effects like increased intraocular pressure or changes in eye health with long-term use of steroids. It's always best to follow your doctor's advice and report any unusual symptoms.

So, I've noticed these cholesterol deposits on the corner of my eyelid that started showing up about a year ago. I'm wondering how I can treat them or if I even need to. Could you recommend a clinic or specialist I should visit for this issue?

The cholesterol deposits on your eyelid are likely xanthelasmata, a harmless condition, but to confirm and discuss treatment options, consider consulting a dermatologist or an oculoplastic surgeon at a reputable eye clinic or hospital, and in the meantime, maintaining healthy lifestyle habits, such as a balanced diet, regular exercise, and stress management, may help slow their growth.

I'm really worried about something that happened. While I was putting on makeup, my eye suddenly turned red. I intended to use the neomycin and polymyxin B sulfates and dexamethasone eye drops that were prescribed last year for pink eye, but I accidentally used a different dropneomycin and polymyxin B sulfates and hydrocortisone Otic solution. Afterward, my eye burned really badly. I washed it out and used the eye drops, and now it's not as red, but it feels warm and a bit inflamed. Should I be concerned or do anything specific right now?

Kindly don't self medicate. Wash your eyes thoroughly with water. If there's any further irritation, discharge from the eye, or blurring of vision, kindly visit the opthalmologist at the earliest.
