I'm trying to figure out the best way to get rid of a stone in the liver. Should it be done with laser surgery, regular surgery, or is there another method that works better? I'm kinda worried and would love to know more about the options.

Your vomiting problem for 8 months and elevated SGPT levels of 89 units indicate potential liver damage or disease. The normal range for SGPT is between 7-56 units per liter .

Possible Causes of Elevated SGPT:

  • Liver damage or disease: Conditions like hepatitis, fatty liver, or liver cirrhosis can cause elevated SGPT levels .
  • Medication or toxin exposure: Certain medications, such as statins, or exposure to toxins can damage liver cells, leading to increased SGPT levels.
  • Other medical conditions: Diabetes, obesity, and heart conditions can also contribute to elevated SGPT levels.

Cure and Treatment:

  1. Consult a doctor: Schedule an appointment with your doctor to determine the underlying cause of your elevated SGPT levels.
  2. Liver function tests: Your doctor may recommend additional liver function tests, such as ALT or AST, to confirm the diagnosis.
  3. Medication and lifestyle changes: Depending on the underlying cause, your doctor may prescribe medication or recommend lifestyle changes, such as a healthy diet, regular exercise, and avoiding alcohol and toxins.
  4. Monitor SGPT levels: Regularly monitor your SGPT levels to ensure they return to normal range.

My husband has just been diagnosed with the initial stages of jaundice, and I'm really worried. Is it okay for us to have intercourse during this early phase of jaundice, or should we avoid it? Would really appreciate any advice you can give!

During the initial stages of jaundice, it's generally recommended to avoid intercourse. Here's why: _Jaundice Precautions_ 1. _Infection risk_: Jaundice can be a symptom of an underlying infection, such as hepatitis. Intercourse can increase the risk of transmission. 2. _Weakened immune system_: Jaundice can indicate a compromised liver function, which may weaken the immune system. Intercourse can further strain the body. 3. _Discomfort and fatigue_: Jaundice can cause discomfort, fatigue, and yellowing of the skin and eyes. Intercourse may exacerbate these symptoms. _Precautions to Take_ 1. _Consult a doctor_: Before resuming intercourse, consult with your husband's doctor to ensure it's safe. 2. _Practice safe sex_: Use condoms to minimize the risk of infection transmission. 3. _Monitor health_: Keep a close eye on your husband's health and adjust your decision accordingly.
