I'm trying to figure out which is better for fighting acne: Perobar 2.5 or Dermadew Acne Soap. I've come across some reviews that mention these soaps might darken the normal color of the face. Is there any truth to that?

Between Perobar 2.5% and Dermadew Acne Soap, Perobar 2.5% is likely more effective against acne.

Perobar 2.5%

  1. Contains benzoyl peroxide: A well-known acne-fighting ingredient that kills bacteria, reduces inflammation, and unclogs pores.
  2. Stronger formulation: 2.5% benzoyl peroxide is a relatively strong concentration, making it more effective against acne.

Dermadew Acne Soap

  1. Milder formulation: Dermadew Acne Soap may contain milder ingredients, such as tea tree oil or salicylic acid, which are less effective against severe acne.
  2. May not be as effective: Dermadew Acne Soap might not be as effective as Perobar 2.5% in reducing acne severity.

Skin Darkening Concerns

  1. Unlikely to darken skin: Neither Perobar 2.5% nor Dermadew Acne Soap is likely to darken your skin tone.
  2. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH): If you experience acne inflammation, it may lead to PIH, causing temporary dark spots.

To minimize the risk of PIH, use sunscreen daily, avoid picking or popping pimples, and follow a consistent skincare routine.

I'm dealing with a situation where I had corns on my toes because of my footwear, and I used salactin paint to try and fix it. While the corns have settled down a bit, I accidentally put some of the salactin on my normal skin, and now it's more damaged than the corns were. I've been trying to rub off the affected skin but haven't had any luck, and it's been almost a month now. What should I do?

I've been having these boils on my buttocks and they're incredibly painful. I've tried a few medicines but they arent really helping. Could you please guide me on what to do? I'm feeling really uncomfortable and worried about this.

I recommend trying an antibiotic ointment like Neosporin. Apply it to the affected area three times a day after cleaning the area with mild soap and water. Additionally, you can take an over-the-counter pain reliever like ibuprofen to help with the pain and inflammation. Make sure to keep the area clean and dry to promote healing. If the boils do not improve or if you develop a fever, please consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation and treatment.
