I'm trying to understand my echo report. It says all chamber sizes are normal, there's no regurgitation, and valve morphology is normal, with normal LV function. But it doesn't mention anything about pulmonary artery pressure. Does this mean my pulmonary pressure is normal? I'm a bit confused and would love some clarity on this.

I've been drinking a lot of water, like between 42 to 64 ounces a day, and I've noticed I sometimes get short of breath and feel some pressure on my chest. But when I don't drink as much water the next day, those symptoms kind of disappear. Could the amount of water I'm drinking be affecting my breathing and chest pressure?

My 58-year-old husband was diagnosed with severe concentric LV hypertrophy. The doctor mentioned surgery, but we're wondering if medications and lifestyle changes could help improve his condition instead. Is surgery really the only option, or can his heart health get better with other treatments?

While severe concentric left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) may sometimes require surgery, it's not always the only option.
