I'm using Sternons lotion for psoriasis based on my doctor's advice, applying it to the middle fingernail of my left hand because of the nail pitting. But now my whole body is itching. Could this be a side effect of the lotion, or is there something else going on? I've been using it for three days and I'm taking Viterma capsules too. What do you think?

Sternon-S lotion contains steroids, which can have side effects, especially with prolonged use. The itching sensation on your entire body could be due to:

  1. Steroid-induced itching: A known side effect of topical steroid use.
  2. Allergic reaction: You might be allergic to one of the lotion's ingredients.
  3. Systemic absorption: Although unlikely, it's possible that the steroid is being absorbed into your bloodstream, causing itching.

Other factors to consider:

  1. Viterma capsule: Interactions between the capsule and the lotion might be contributing to the itching.
  2. Psoriasis itself: Psoriasis can cause itching, and the lotion might not be fully addressing the underlying condition.Stop using the lotion: Temporarily discontinue use to see if the itching subsides.

I'm dealing with a sebaceous cyst right next to my left eye and I'm really unsure about what to do. Could you guide me on the best treatment options to consider?

For Sebaceous cyst near your left eye, the best treatment option would be to use warm compresses to help reduce inflammation and promote drainage. You can also apply an antibiotic ointment like Bacitracin or Neosporin to prevent infection. If the cyst is large or causing discomfort, it may need to be surgically removed by a doctor. Please consult with a healthcare professional for proper evaluation and management.

I visited a doctor today for vitiligo treatment and they mentioned blister grafting works better on the lips while melanocyte transplantation is more suitable for other parts of the face. Is blister grafting really more successful for lip areas compared to other treatments?

Yes, suction blister grafting (SBG) is often considered a preferred treatment for lip vitiligo due to its effectiveness and ease of application in these areas. While melanocyte transplantation can be an option for other facial areas, SBG has shown to be particularly successful and convenient for lip vitiligo.

Is oily hair good?

Sebum or oil is secreted from scalp which naturally nourishes the hair and keeps it healthy. Only when the secretions become excessive, they clog the hair follicles, trap dust and cause hair loss.
