I'm wondering if it's normal for someone to catch a cold while they're recovering from jaundice. Does this mean the jaundice is getting better, or could it be something else? Would love to get your thoughts on this.

View allI'm a bit concerned about my wife's recent blood test results. Her eosinophil count is 16% and her ESR level is 29. She had a herpes infection two months ago and a food infection about a month before the test. She also took a muscle relaxant nine hours before her fasting blood test. Do these results indicate anything serious? Should we consider getting another blood test after some time?
The elevated eosinophils count and ESR level could be due to the recent infections your wife had. It is known that infections, including herpes and food infections, can cause an increase in eosinophils and ESR levels. Additionally, the muscle relaxant taken before the fasting blood test may have also influenced the results. It is advisable to wait for some time and then repeat the blood test to see if the eosinophils count and ESR level have returned to normal levels. If there are no other concerning symptoms, it is likely that the values will normalize once the infections have resolved and the effects of the muscle relaxant have worn off.

I've been having fever on and off for the past few weeks. Initially, I was diagnosed with typhoid on May 11th and started a 10-day course of antibiotics, which seemed to work at first. But just a week after finishing the medication, the fever returned, and I tried some home remedies, which only temporarily controlled it. Now, my fever is back at 100F, and I'm feeling quite down about it. Can you please advise on what steps I should take next?

I'm dealing with a cold all week and it's giving me headaches. My nose starts running when I get up early in the morning because the weather is so chilly then. When I take a cold tablet, it seems to help for the rest of the day. But the cold just comes back the next morning. Plus, the sneezing from this is non-stop. Any advice on what I can do to get better?
