So I've been taking metronidazole for 4 days and accidentally drank 3 beers. I feel fine right now, but I'm worried if everything will be okay. I'm also usually a heavy drinker, so I'm wondering if that changes anything.

I have gallstones and everyone keeps telling me I need to get my gallbladder removed through surgery. But I'm wondering can't they just take out the stones like they do with kidney stones? Why does the whole gallbladder have to go?

While kidney stones can sometimes be treated non-surgically or by breaking them up, the same approach for gallstones is less common and often not recommended. Gallstones in the gallbladder are generally removed with the gallbladder during a cholecystectomy
