Is it really possible for lungs damaged by COVID to recover? What are the chances and how does it work? I'm really worried about long-term damage.

View allI'm feeling pretty anxious about something and could use some advice. I've had a couple of CT scans and an x-ray on my chest over the past few months because of some severe pain I started having after recovering from COVID. My pulmonologist recommended them, but I've heard that all that radiation can cause health problems down the line. Should I be worried about the amount of radiation I've been exposed to, or are these scans generally safe?

My mom got over COVID about a month and a half ago, but her oxygen level is still around 93-95. Should I be worried about this? Do you think I should get her checked by a pulmonologist, or is there a chance she'll just get better on her own in the next couple of months? Before COVID, she had some dust allergies and would often cough, vomit, and sometimes have trouble breathing when going up stairs. What do you suggest I do?
