I've been applying dermadew cream for my facial acne, but now I'm having some bowel discomfort and there's a bit of itching or a burning feeling on my face. Could this be because of the cream? Do you know of any alternative medicine I could try? I'm a 30-year-old guy.

It's a good idea to discontinue Dermadew temporarily to see if the symptoms improve. If your acne persists, you may want to explore other treatment options or consult with a dermatologist for a personalized skincare routine. As for the bowel discomfort, its important to consider other factors (diet, stress, etc.) that might be contributing to that.

I was in an accident recently and ended up with 3 stitches just above my lips, right below my nose. The stitches are healing well, but I'm really concerned about the scar that's forming. Could you recommend an ointment or cream that would help with scar removal? I'm just a bit anxious about this and would love some advice.

You can use Mederma ointment for scar removal. Apply a thin layer of Mederma ointment on the scar area 3 times a day for at least 8 weeks to see improvement in the appearance of the scar.

I've been dealing with this persistent itching on my inner thigh near the scrotum and it's really bothering me. I took the capsule Canditral for about 20 days and used the dermikem OC tube, which seemed to help. But after I stopped using them, the itching and those red, itchy spots came back after just 10 days. Do you think this could be Jock itch? What medication would you recommend for something like this?

Your symptoms suggest a fungal infection like Jock itch (tinea cruris); consider consulting a dermatologist for a definitive diagnosis

I've been using Tenovate GN and Brite cream for my face for about four years now. The problem is, whenever I stop using them, my skin darkens and I start getting pimples. I'm really worried about this. What could be going on with my skin, and is there a better way to handle it without relying on these creams?

Long-term use of topical steroids like Tenovate GN can lead to skin thinning, discoloration, and acne breakouts when discontinued abruptly. Brite cream is a combination of multiple ingredients that help with skin brightening. To address the darkening and pimples upon discontinuation, you can gradually taper off the use of Tenovate GN to prevent rebound effects. You can switch to a milder steroid cream like Hydrocortisone for a short period to help with the transition. For skin brightening, you can consider using products containing ingredients like Vitamin C, niacinamide, or kojic acid.
