I've been dealing with a fissure for the past 6 months and had to use sitz baths in warm water. Now I'm experiencing a burning sensation on my scrotum, and I'm also diabetic. The right side of my scrotum is painful, especially at the upper end. I'm really getting mentally frustrated with all of this. What could be going on? Can you help?

I'm so sorry to hear that you're experiencing a burning sensation in your scrotum, especially after dealing with fissures for six months.
Given your symptoms and medical history, it's essential to consult a doctor, preferably a urologist or a dermatologist, to determine the underlying cause of the burning sensation.
That being said, here are some potential causes and factors to consider:
Potential Causes
- Diabetes-related complications: High blood sugar levels can damage nerves and cause numbness, tingling, or burning sensations in the genital area.
- Fissure-related complications: The sitz baths and fissure treatment might have caused skin irritation, leading to the burning sensation.
- Scrotal dermatitis: Inflammation of the scrotal skin, possibly caused by irritation, allergies, or infections.
- Balanitis: Inflammation of the glans penis, which can cause burning sensations in the scrotum.
- Nerve damage: Damage to the nerves in the scrotal area, possibly caused by diabetes, trauma, or surgery.

View allI've got this chicken pox scar on the right side of my forehead that's pigmented and a bit deep. I really want it to match the rest of my skin, even if the depth stays the same. Would it be possible to get rid of the pigmentation so it looks like my normal skin color? I'm open to the idea of a small surgery if that's what it takes. Could you give me some advice on this?
For the pigmented scar on your forehead, you can consider using a topical cream containing hydroquinone to help lighten the pigmentation. Additionally, you may benefit from laser therapy such as PicoSure or Fraxel to further improve the appearance of the scar. In some cases, a dermatologist may recommend a chemical peel to help reduce the pigmentation. It's important to consult with a dermatologist to determine the best treatment option for your specific scar.

I'm really worried about my herpes infection. I just had an STD panel done and it showed Herpes IgM at 0.50 and IgG at 12.4, with HIV coming back negative. I keep having frequent recurrences of genital herpes and it's really stressing me out. Can you help me understand what's going on and how I can manage or cure this infection? Im willing to try anything.
For the treatment of recurrent genital herpes, you can take antiviral medications such as Valacyclovir at the first sign of symptoms. This can help to reduce the severity and duration of the outbreak. Additionally, you can also use topical antiviral creams such as Acyclovir cream to apply on the affected area. It is important to consult with your healthcare provider for proper evaluation and management of your condition.
