I've been dealing with GERD and a hiatal hernia for 20 years and take daily meds should I consider surgery at this point? The constant meds are getting exhausting and I'm worried about long-term effects

Yes, after 20 years of daily medication for GERD and a hiatal hernia, it's reasonable to consider surgery, especially if you're concerned about long-term medication effects and experiencing persistent or bothersome symptoms. Surgery, such as fundoplication, can effectively address the underlying issues of GERD and hiatal hernia, potentially reducing or eliminating the need for daily medication

View allI'm gluten intolerant and every time I accidentally eat gluten, I end up with acid reflux which really irritates my throat. It feels like I have a cotton ball stuck down there. Is there anything I can do to make my throat feel better when this happens?
For immediate relief of throat irritation, warm fluids, honey, and saltwater gargles can help soothe your throat. In the long term, managing your gluten intolerance and acid reflux triggers through dietary changes and medications is key. If the discomfort continues, its important to speak to a doctor for further evaluation.

Chronic fissures can often be managed with Ayurvedic or conservative treatments, but long-term healing depends on severity. Surgery may be needed if symptoms persist despite natural approaches.

My vitamin B12 level has been at 138 for the past two years and I'm having bowel movements three times a day. I've already tried taking Vitcofol injections, five doses of 2 ml, but didn't notice any improvement. I recently heard about Metacobalamin tablets and was wondering if I should try them. What's the right dosage? Is there another treatment that might help?
Yes ,continue all the medications as advised by the physician , tablet is taken once daily, orally, for about 3-6 months for better results.
