I've been dealing with a recurring fistula or abscess for the past two years it goes away for a few months but keeps coming back. I really don't want surgery, and while a recent round of antibiotics during dental treatment cleared it up temporarily, the issue returned. What could be causing this cycle, and are there other treatment options besides surgery?

View allI've been dealing with an anal fissure for the past 4 months and the pain is really bad though there's no bleeding during stools My doctor suggested laser surgery but I'm wondering if it can heal without surgery What are my options
Yes, anal fissures can often heal without surgery, even if they've been present for several months. Your doctor's suggestion of laser surgery is a valid option, but there are several non-surgical treatments that should be tried first, especially since your fissure has been ongoing for 4 months
