I've been dealing with a scratchy throat that keeps coming and going for the last six months. It doesn't really hurt or cause major issues, just feels a bit rough sometimes. Plus, for the past two months, I've noticed my papillae are inflamed, which might be why I have this white coating on my tongue. I've visited ENT specialists, but the antibiotics they prescribe don't make a difference. The scratchy throat seems to come and go, but the inflamed papillae and that scrappable white coating on my tongue aren't going away. What could be causing these symptoms? Should I be worried or try something different?

It sounds like you might be dealing with chronic irritation, possibly due to post-nasal drip or a mild infection, which can lead to a scratchy throat and inflamed papillae. The white coating on your tongue, which is scrappable, could indicate a fungal overgrowth or poor oral hygiene. If antibiotics aren't helping, it might be worth revisiting the ENT specialist for a more targeted approach, such as antifungal treatment or addressing any underlying reflux or immune system factors.

I've been really worried since I had this scary episode last night. I was sleeping when I suddenly felt like I was going to vomit, and when I did, I ended up throwing up a lot of blood. It happened four times, and the last one had a dark brown color while the others were dark red. I also had a huge coughing fit. What could be going on? Should I be concerned?

I'm trying to understand what a grade 2 fatty liver means. My liver is normal in size but it shows a diffused coarse increase in homogeneous echotexture. Should I be worried about this, and what can I do to improve my liver health?
Grade 2 fatty liver indicates a moderate level of fatty infiltration in the liver. In your case, where the liver is normal in size and shows diffuse coarse increased homogeneous echotexture, it is important to make lifestyle modifications to improve liver health. You can take Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) to help manage the fatty liver condition. Additionally, incorporating a healthy diet, regular exercise, and avoiding alcohol can also help improve liver function.
