I've been dealing with some intense itching around my anus, and it's really driving me crazy. Do you have any idea what might be causing this and how I can fix it?

View allI'm really worried about my wife. It's been about two months since she had our baby, and she's having really bad pain in her upper abdomen and back. We got an ultrasound done, and it showed multiple stones. Last month, she had a severe pain attack, and she's still having mild pain in her upper abdomen and between her ribs. Is removing the gallbladder the only solution, or are there other options we should consider? Would love some guidance on what we can do.
Given your wife's severe pain, multiple gallstones, and recurrent attacks, gallbladder removal (cholecystectomy) may be the most effective treatment option

I've been dealing with GERD for 4 years and my gastroscopy showed a 40cm hiatus hernia. I constantly feel nauseous with a lump in my throat, and my stress levels are through the roof. Would surgery actually fix my GERD issues? I'm really hesitant about getting that 24hr pH metry test it sounds like it would be awful to go through. How bad is it really?
U need a proper assessment by a surgeon,, of your symptoms clinically to establish volume reflux and Gerd.. Gastro scopy has told that you hav a hiatus Hernia.. There is no need of 24 hr pH metry if you symptoms match with your gastroscopy.. What you need is esophageal manometry... A small miniature tube... 1/10 of size of endoscopy tube... Which you already hav gone through.. That wil establish whether you require surgery called Lap fundoplication and how much you will benefit from it. normally.. Of my pts who hav underwent this surgery... Those who had volume reflux did the best from surgery.

I've been dealing with this really weird problem where my breath smells like rotten eggs or sulfur and I just can't figure out why. I brush my teeth three times a dayafter I wake up, after lunch, and before bed. I also floss regularly and use nonalcoholic mouthwash. I used to have tonsil stones and thought that might be the reason, but even after getting my tonsils removed, the smell hasn't gone away. It's like the smell is coming from the top of my mouth or maybe even from my stomach. My diet is pretty normal, and I'm maintaining a healthy weight at 6'2'' and 180 lbs. Plus, I'm pretty active since I'm always on my feet at work. What do you think could be causing this?
It could be related to gastrointestinal issues. I recommend trying a medication like omeprazole (Prilosec) 20mg once daily before breakfast to reduce stomach acid production, which can sometimes contribute to bad breath. Additionally, you can try using simethicone (Gas-X) 125mg after meals to help reduce gas in the stomach, which can also cause bad breath. Make sure to follow the recommended dosages for these medications. If the issue persists, consider consulting with a gastroenterologist for further evaluation and management.
