I've been dealing with tonsillitis for a while nowit's really frustrating. The ENT specialist gave me Oratil 500, Rabemac, and Allegra, which worked at first. But now, the symptoms are back. Should I repeat the same treatment? The doctor also mentioned the possibility of removing my tonsillitis glands. Is that a safe option? I'm really curious and a bit worried about what to do next.

    • Tonsillitis is inflammation of the tonsils, often due to infection. Symptoms can recur if the initial infection wasn't fully cleared or if re-exposure occurs.
  2. Evaluation Before Repeating Treatment

    • Consult a healthcare provider to reassess your symptoms. They may recommend tests before repeating antibiotics or other medications.
  3. Treatment Options

    • Antibiotics like Cefuroxime are common for bacterial tonsillitis. Symptom relief medications can also be used. Ensure appropriateness with a doctor.
  4. Tonsillectomy (Tonsil Removal) as a Treatment Option

    • Tonsillectomy involves surgical removal of the tonsils. It's considered for recurrent or chronic tonsillitis. Discuss safety and indications with a specialist.
  5. Risks and Benefits of Tonsillectomy

    • Benefits include reduced infections. Risks involve surgical complications and recovery time. Weigh these with your doctor.
  6. Next Steps and Specialist Consultation

    • Consult an ENT specialist for personalized advice on treatment and surgery suitability.

I had sinus surgery back in 2011 for allergic rhinitis and sinusitis. These days I don't have the usual sneezing, cold, or post nasal drip but I keep getting this low-grade fever with body aches and a heavy feeling in my forehead. Could this still be sinus-related even though I don't have other symptoms? What treatment would work best and how long before I see results? Homeopathy didn't fully help last time but I'm hoping there's still a way to manage this.

I'm a 26-year-old guy dealing with a high pitch voice that lacks resonance. People often mistake me for a woman over the phone, and it's frustrating. I haven't seen a doctor about this yet, and I'm also dealing with essential tremor. Are there any exercises or treatments that could help with these issues?

It sounds like you may be experiencing voice modulation issues. You can try using voice therapy techniques to improve your voice quality. Additionally, you can use medications like Botox injections to help with essential tremors. For voice modulation, you can try speech therapy exercises and vocal warm-ups. For essential tremors, you can consider taking Propranolol. Remember to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new medication.
