I've been diagnosed with gallbladder stones and get occasional pain, so I've scheduled surgery in two months. Just got my CBC and LFT results, and my platelet count is 1.2 lakh could this be related to the gallbladder stones or something else? The reports are attached for reference.

My gallstone is 17mm and I'm wondering if it's okay to wait two years before getting surgery or if that's too long. Should I be worried about complications if I delay it? What are the risks of waiting with a stone this size?
A gallstone of 17mm (1.7 cm) is considered large and poses a higher risk of complications. While a 2-year delay might seem like a long time, the decision of when to proceed with surgery should be made on a case-by-case basis by a general surgeon considering individual factors and the severity of symptoms.

I was recently diagnosed with an intersphincteric fistula tract and have surgery scheduled for next Friday. I'm a bit nervous and wondering what type of anesthesia is usually given during a fistulectomy procedure
Spinal anaesthesia will be given during surgery. You will feel a small pin-prick in your back. The surgery will take 20-30 minutes only. Don't worry!
