I've been experiencing this weakness in my chest and it's making me really anxious. I'm trying to figure out what's going on because sometimes I also get this heaviness when I breathe and feel dizzy. It even makes me feel shaky at times. What could be causing these symptoms?

It sounds like you may be experiencing symptoms related to anxiety, which can cause chest tightness, dizziness, and shaky feelings. However, these symptoms can also be linked to other conditions such as heart issues or respiratory problems. I recommend consulting with a healthcare provider to get a proper evaluation and ensure it's not something more serious.

I experienced a sudden jerk in the left side of my chest while I was sleeping at night. My ECG came back normal. What should I do next?

It is possible that the sudden jerk in your left side chest could be due to muscle spasm or a benign condition. However, if you continue to experience this sensation or if it is associated with other symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, or dizziness, it is important to follow up with your healthcare provider for a thorough evaluation. In the meantime, you can consider taking a muscle relaxant like Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) 5-10mg as needed for muscle spasm.

I was wondering if an ECG could show signs of WPW syndrome. Lately, I've noticed that my heart rate sometimes speeds up, and I'm currently on Dilzem. Could you provide some guidance on this?

Yes, an ECG can show signs of Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome. Since your heart rate increases at times, Dilzem (Diltiazem) is a calcium channel blocker that can help manage this condition. The usual dosage for Dilzem in WPW syndrome is 120-360mg per day, taken in divided doses. It's important to follow your doctor's recommendations for the correct dosage and frequency.
