I've been feeling feverish after drinking cold water, but when I check my temperature, it's normal. Internally, I just feel really sick, and my body hurts too. Any idea what's going on or what I should do about it? This just doesn't feel right to me.

Drinking cold water can cause a temporary condition called "cold stress," leading to internal feverish sensations, body aches, and general malaise, even without a raised body temperature; to alleviate symptoms, rest, stay hydrated with warm fluids, and consider taking over-the-counter pain relievers like acetaminophen or ibuprofen.

View allI've been feeling a bit under the weather with a cold and a slight fever. Is it okay to take Calpol 650 for this? Is it effective for these symptoms? Just want to make sure it's the right choice.
Calpol 650, which contains paracetamol (acetaminophen), is commonly used to relieve mild to moderate pain and reduce fever. It can be taken for cold and slight fever, as it helps alleviate discomfort and reduce fever. However, it's important to follow the recommended dosage and consult a doctor if symptoms persist or worsen.

My dad is 59 and has diabetes. He's had a fever for the past 8-10 days and just tested positive for COVID-19. Though he hasn't had any breathing issues so far, his temperature has been normal for the last 36 hours. He takes Cetanil T every morning and Glycomet SR. Right now, he's very weak and has a dry cough. I'm really worried and don't know what to do next. I'm from Nimta, Kolkata. Could you please guide me?

I've been dealing with a viral fever and my SGPT levels have gone up to 63. I'm taking paracetamol, Defix, and other medications from my doctor. Since I live in a hostel, it's tough to really manage what I'm eating. How can I get my SGPT levels back to normal? I'm a bit worried about this and looking for some advice.
