I've been feeling really unwell since yesterday with symptoms like a headache, fever, and loose motions. There's also this intense pain in my stomach, and it's making me feel really weak. Could you help me figure out what's going on and what I can do to feel better?

For your symptoms, you can take Acetaminophen (Tylenol) 500mg for headache and fever. For loose motions, you can take Loperamide 2mg. Additionally, you can take Omeprazole 20mg for stomach pain. Make sure to stay hydrated and get plenty of rest.

I'm really worried because I've had a fever for more than two weeks now. I've been taking an antiflu antibiotic as well, but I'm not sure if this is normal or how much longer it'll take for me to fully recover. Is there anything else I should be doing or looking out for?

A fever persisting for more than two weeks is not normal and may indicate a secondary infection or complications from the flu. If you've already taken antiflu antibiotics and your fever persists, consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation and treatment. The flu typically lasts from a few days to two weeks,

I'm feeling like my neck and head are really hot, but I don't have a fever. Everything else seems normal, but this has been happening for about a week now. A little while back, I had dengue fever, but that got better around three weeks ago. Could this be related, or should I be worried about something else?

It sounds like you may be experiencing post-dengue symptoms. The sensation of heat in the neck and head without fever could be due to residual effects of the dengue fever. I recommend taking acetaminophen (Tylenol) 500mg every 6 hours as needed for any discomfort. Additionally, ensure you are staying well-hydrated and getting plenty of rest. If the symptoms persist or worsen, please follow up with your healthcare provider for further evaluation.

I'm prone to catching a common cold or viral fever a couple of times every year. I've heard that in western countries, there's something called a flu shot. Is there anything similar in India? If it exists, what's it called and where can I get it? If not, what other options do I have?

In India, the flu shot is also available and it is commonly known as the influenza vaccine. You can get the influenza vaccine at most pharmacies, hospitals, and clinics. It is recommended to get the flu shot annually before the flu season starts, usually in the months of September to November. Alternatively, you can also consider taking over-the-counter medications like paracetamol for fever and pain relief, antihistamines for runny nose and sneezing, and decongestants for nasal congestion. It is important to stay hydrated, get plenty of rest, and practice good hygiene to prevent the spread of infections.
