I've been following up on that injury I mentioned before. Do you think it's a good idea to use Betadin and let the wound stay open to air? I ended up putting turmeric powder on it, and now it's sort of caked on the wound. I'm worried that if I try to clean it, it'll take off the part that's already healed. That wound on my leg from the bike accident, about a month and a half ago, mostly healed but theres still a small area thats raw. It keeps getting this clear, watery fluidnot yellowish thoughthat seems to stop it from healing fully. I've been seeing Dr. Prashanth at Vijayshree hospital, and the dressing has helped with the pain a lot. I've been using Augmentin D and Betadin as instructed, but I'm still using turmeric since it's ayurvedic. What should I be doing differently to finally heal this completely?

To promote complete healing of the remaining raw wound area, consider the following: continue regular dressing and antibiotic treatment as advised by Dr. Prashanth BN; gently clean the wound with saline solution to remove the accumulated turmeric powder; apply a thin layer of Betadin ointment, but avoid keeping the wound open, instead cover it with a sterile dressing; and maintain good wound hygiene and monitor for signs of infection, such as increased redness, swelling, or yellowish discharge.

View allI've been dealing with these itchy granular rashes on my palm, and sometimes on my feet, for about a week now. The itching on my palm won't stop, and it's starting to really bug me. What's going on and how can I find relief?
It sounds like you may be experiencing contact dermatitis. You can try using an over-the-counter antihistamine like Cetirizine (10mg) once daily to help with the itching. Additionally, applying a topical corticosteroid cream like Hydrocortisone 1% to the affected areas twice a day can help reduce inflammation and itching. Make sure to avoid any known triggers or irritants that may be causing the allergic reaction. If the symptoms persist or worsen, it's best to consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation and management.

I'm a bit concerned because I've been using this AQUASOFT moisturizing cream from Ajanta Pharma for about 2 years now. I've been thinking, are there any side effects I should be aware of from using it for this long? Can you help me understand if there's anything I should look out for?
Aquasoft cream by Ajanta Pharma is generally considered safe, but long-term use can lead to potential side effects like skin irritation, allergic reactions, or dependence on the moisturizer, so it's recommended to consult a dermatologist for personalized advice and to reassess your skin's needs.

I've noticed that my butt and knees are darker than the rest of my body and it bothers me. It just seems unattractive and I'm really hoping to even out my skin tone. I have a brown complexion. What can I do to make it all look more balanced?
To help even out the skin tone on your buttocks and knees, you can consider using a skin lightening cream that contains ingredients like hydroquinone, kojic acid, or alpha arbutin. These ingredients can help lighten dark areas of the skin and promote a more even tone. You can try using a cream like Meladerm or Ambi Fade Cream, applying it to the affected areas once or twice a day as directed. Additionally, make sure to exfoliate the skin regularly to remove dead skin cells and promote skin renewal. Remember to use sunscreen on these areas to prevent further darkening from sun exposure.
