I've been having a mild fever for the past couple of days, and it just came on all of a sudden. Along with the fever, I've got this headache, and my whole body feels kind of heavy. I've even been dealing with some indigestion and burping. It's a bit better today than it was yesterday, but now I'm also noticing a slight loss of taste. What could be causing all this?

Had a penicillin shot for syphilis in my lower hip about 5 days back. The pain was pretty bad for a couple of days but then got better. Now I've got this hard lump at the injection site. Theres no redness or irritation and it's not visible, but I can feel it when I touch it, it's hard and a bit sore. Tried using a hot compress but the lump's still there. Should I be worried about it?

The hard lump at the injection site is likely a localized reaction to the penicillin injection, which can cause inflammation, scarring, or granuloma formation; as long as there's no increasing pain, redness, or swelling, it's probably benign, but monitor the lump's size and tenderness, and consult your doctor if it persists or worsens, as they may recommend further evaluation or treatment, such as antibiotics or steroid injections.

I'm wondering about eating non-veg around the time I get my vaccine. Is it okay to have non-veg the day before I get vaccinated? And what about on the day of or after the vaccine? Can you tell me if it's safe or if I should avoid it?

Yes, it is safe to eat non-vegetarian food both before and after taking the vaccine. There is no specific dietary restriction for consuming non-veg around the time of vaccination. Just ensure you are eating balanced meals and staying hydrated to support your immune system post-vaccination.
