I've been having this odd, crawling sensation in both of my ears. It constantly feels like there's dust or maybe even an insect inside them. Should I be worried about this, or is it something common that can be easily fixed?

View allI'm really worried about my husband. His neck is swollen on the left side, behind the ear, and it doesn't hurt. Our ENT specialist did a fine needle test and the microscopy report says there's no sign of cassation granuloma or malignancy. They mentioned something about a reactive lymphoid aspirate and advised excision if there's clinical suspicion for Koch's. Can you help explain what all this means? We also tried two weeks of antibiotics and the swelling seems to be getting smaller. I'm trying to understand if we should still be concerned.

My eardrum has a hole in it and I heard it's called a ruptured eardrum. I'm not sure whether I should go for medicines or surgery to fix this - which treatment works better and what are the risks of each option?
Most ruptured (perforated) eardrums heal without treatment within a few weeks. Your provider may prescribe antibiotic drops if there's evidence of infection. If the tear or hole in the eardrum doesn't heal by itself, treatment will likely involve procedures to close the tear or hole.
