I've been having shortness of breath and recently got an Echo done, which said there was mild LVH. A couple of days ago, I noticed a little blood when I spit, and my doctor recommended I take Augmentin 625 and Montair LC for a week. I've been on them for two days now, but I noticed bright red blood when I spit again today, with no mucus color. I also have GERD and have had this issue for more than six years. Could the medication or the GERD be causing this, or should I be worried about something more serious?

I'm 22 and dealing with some heart-related issues. I had my heart checked, and they found mild MVP. I was put on a beta blocker, but it hasn't really helped with the intense chest pain Ive been experiencing. They've now suggested Flavedon MR for the pain. Do you think that's the right route, or should I be considering other medication options? I'm just not sure what to do next.
For your chest pain related to mild MVP, Flavedon MR can be a suitable medication to try. It contains Trimetazidine and helps in improving blood flow to the heart muscle. The usual dosage is 35 mg twice daily. However, if you do not find relief with Flavedon MR, you can discuss with your doctor about alternative medications such as Ranolazine or Ivabradine which may be more effective for your chest pain associated with MVP.

My dad's been on Gardenal for nearly 10 years now, and since he's been taking it regularly, he hasn't had any seizures for a long time. A couple of days ago, he had an angiogram and they found out he has triple valve disease. We've been told to figure out whether he should keep taking Gardenal or if it's okay to stop. Any advice or thoughts on this would be really helpful?
There is no indication to stop the medicine continue the medication and follow your doctors advice for triple vessle disease
