I've been noticing these white patches popping up on my skin again. I had one near my eye when I was 17 but it went away after treatment. Now, a couple of years later, they're on my elbows and knees. I've tried some remedies and theyve shrunk a bit, but I'm worried. What could these white patches be and should I be doing something different to get rid of them completely?

Valproate CR 300 twice a day is a common dosage for epilepsy management.

Triglyceride Level: The elevated triglyceride level (260) could be related to Valproate, as it's a known side effect. Other factors, such as diet, lifestyle, and genetics, may also contribute.

Other Possible Side Effects:

  1. Weight gain
  2. Hair loss
  3. Tremors
  4. Dizziness
  5. Nausea
  6. Increased liver enzymes

Stopping the Medicine: It's essential to consult your neurologist or doctor before stopping or adjusting your medication. Suddenly stopping Valproate can lead to:

  1. Seizure recurrence
  2. Withdrawal symptoms

Given your history of epilepsy attacks, it's crucial to work with your doctor to:

  1. Monitor your triglyceride levels
  2. Adjust your diet and lifestyle
  3. Consider alternative medications or dosage adjustments

Do not stop taking your medication without consulting your doctor.

I've been dealing with a dandruff issue and my doctor initially recommended Topisal 6. However, when I went to the pharmacy, they didn't have it in stock, so they gave me Propysalic NF instead. I'm wondering if Propysalic NF works just as well as Topisal 6, or should I try to get back on Topisal 6? Would love to hear your thoughts on whether this switch might affect how effective it is for treating my dandruff.

Propysalic NF contains clobetasol propionate and salicylic acid, which are effective in treating dandruff. However, it may have a different potency compared to Topisal 6%, which contains clobetasol propionate only. Propysalic NF can be effective in treating dandruff, but if you are not seeing the desired results, you may consider switching back to Topisal 6% for better control of your dandruff. Follow the prescribed dosage and application instructions for optimal results.
