The doctor gave him Acebrophyline, acetylcysteine, Cefixime, montelukast, levocetrizine, and paracetamol. I'm confused though, is acute bronchitis usually caused by a virus or bacteria? Could there be an issue with these medicines not working, or should we be concerned about something else?

It bothers him a lot, especially because he constantly feels like he has to clear his throat when he talks. He's not running a fever or anything, and he's breathing fine. I've been told that I breathe heavily while I'm sleeping, and it seems like my oxygen levels and pulse rate drop during those times.
