I've been struggling with really tight hamstrings and can barely move my back properly are there any good physiologists who can help? I'm considering hamstring lengthening surgery but don't know much about how it works or what recovery looks like afterward. What should I expect if I go through with it?

The operation is done through a small cut in the skin. Through this small opening, little cuts are made into the tight muscles so they can be stretched and made longer.

I'm really concerned about this back pain I've been having around my waist area for about a year now. It hurts whenever I stand or sit in one spot for over an hour and it gets worse if I lift something heavy or bend over to do stuff for like 10 to 20 minutes. The weird thing is, it eases up when I rest or lie down. I haven't had any injuries or medical conditions that I'm aware of, so I'm not sure what's going on. Could this just be a muscle sprain, or is there something else I should be worried about?

It sounds like your back pain could be related to muscle strain or poor posture, especially if it worsens with prolonged sitting or lifting. It might also be due to muscle imbalances or tension. If rest helps, that's a good sign, but I recommend seeing a healthcare provider for a thorough evaluation to rule out other possible causes.

It's been 80 days since my tibia surgery where they used plates and nails for both legs. The swelling has gone down but I'm still unsure can I start walking now or do I need to wait longer? I'm worried about putting weight on them too soon.

You should walk now. Continue active non weight bearing mobilisation of knee, ankle and hip. Start with partial weight bearing with walker. Then progress to full weight bearing. Pain relief will be important. Please get the latest xray to see bony union which will decide the weight bearing on the limbs

I'm experiencing this pain on the right side of my lower back, almost like a muscle pull. It doesn't bother me all the time, but when I sneeze or cough, it really hurts. I've tried using Volini gel and taking hot water showers, but the pain is still there after almost a week. I'm overweight and just started going to the gym again after years, mostly focusing on cardio. Could this be related to my gym workouts? How can I get rid of this pain so I can safely go back to the gym?

may be due to sudden excess physical activity at gym
