I've been taking Cirrosam 400 mg and Ursocol 300 mg once a day for the past three days, and my SGPT and SGOT levels are close to 150. I'm wondering if it's okay to drink alcohol while on these meds or if that could be harmful?

-It's not safe to consume alcohol while taking Cirrosam and Ursocol, as both medications are used to support liver function, and alcohol can further strain the liver. It's best to avoid alcohol during this treatment to prevent potential liver damage. Alwa

My mom is 51 and has been dealing with acidity issues. Her recent endoscopy showed bile reflux. Can this be treated with medications or does she need surgery?

Bile reflux is usually treated with medications and, in some cases, surgery. While lifestyle changes and antacids can help with acid reflux, they are less effective for bile reflux.

I'm a bit worried about my liver function test results. My blood report shows an SGPT level of 107 UL and an SGOT level of 71 UL. I drink alcohol regularly, and my doctor recommended I take URSOCDL 300mg tablets. Could you please give me some advice on this?

Based on your liver function test results and history of frequent drinking, the doctor has prescribed you Tab Ursocol. This medication contains Ursodeoxycholic acid which helps in improving liver function. Additionally, it is important to reduce or stop alcohol consumption to support the treatment of your liver condition.

I'm dealing with ongoing dysentery and constipation issues and nothing I've tried is working. Spicy foods just make it worse by causing a lot of acid and more dysentery. Even meds like O2 aren't helping. I've started using Aloe Vera juice and green tea to see if it makes a difference. I'm feeling really weak and am losing weight. What else can I try or what should I do to improve my situation?

For chronic dysentery and constipation, you can try taking Loperamide (Imodium) for dysentery and a stool softener like Docusate Sodium (Colace) for constipation. In addition to Aloe Vera juice and green tea, you can also try probiotics like Align or Culturelle to help with your digestive issues. Make sure to stay hydrated and eat a balanced diet with plenty of fiber. If you continue to feel weak and lose weight, it is important to consult with your doctor for further evaluation and management.
